Department Of ICT, Media, and Public Relations Department Core Mandate:

 
  • ICT Strategy Development and Implementation: Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy for the MDA that aligns with the overall government's goals for digitalization Ensure the strategy is regularly reviewed and updated to adapt to changing needs and emerging technologies
  • ICT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and security of all ICT equipment and software within the MDA Implement robust data security measures and disaster recovery plans to safeguard the organization's critical information assets
  • IT Staff Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the MDA's IT staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support the organization's ICT needs Identify training and development opportunities to keep the IT team's skills current and aligned with industry best practices
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other MDAs and the Ministry on national ICT initiatives, sharing knowledge and best practices Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand their ICT needs and requirements, and deliver solutions that meet their expectations
  • Communication Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies aimed at effectively disseminating information about the MDA's policies, programs, and activities.
  • Production of Communication Materials: Oversee the production of a wide range of communication materials, including press releases, website content, social media posts, and newsletters Ensure that all materials are professionally crafted, align with the MDA's branding guidelines, and effectively convey key messages to diverse audiences while also ensuring timely distribution through appropriate channels
  • Public Opinion Monitoring: Monitor and analyze public opinion regarding the MDA to identify trends, concerns, or misconceptions that may affect its reputation or operations Utilize surveys, social media analytics, and other tools to gather insights into public sentiment and develop strategies to address any issues proactively while fostering positive community relations
  • Spokesperson Role: Act as a spokesperson for the MDA at public events, conferences, and community engagements Represent the organization with professionalism and authority while delivering key messages that reflect the MDA's values and objectives Engage with stakeholders, answer questions, and build relationships that enhance the MDA's visibility and credibility within the community
