Inspection of imports coming into Somaliland is one of the SQCC mandates that emerged from the SQCC Act 68/2014.

Import inspection duties entail enforcing the requirements of the Somaliland standards in order to protect the health and safety of the public and the environment against dangerous and substandard products.


The Somaliland Quality Control Commission, in accordance with Law No. 68/2014, and referencing Standard SL 015 on Labeling and Marking, has undertaken a revision and update of the shelf life regulations for products imported into Somaliland.
